Elizabeth Warren will be the next President

During the 2018 midterm elections, the Koch Brothers spent $20 million in ads to convince voters that the Trump corporate tax cut was good for investment and ordinary workers. As long as the deep pockets of billionaires are routinely used to fund cheap political tricks, their partisan agendas will continue to make an absolute mockery of the democratic process.

The bottom line is this; since the assassination of JFK 56 years ago, a president who was murdered because he demanded peace in Vietnam (out by 1965), truth has been brutally hijacked by the covert, cold war-like deployment of American Foreign Policy. An environment where unity is feigned to sustain the obsession to maintain secrecy breeds what John F. Kennedy defined in the following manner in a speech at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on April 27, 1961;

The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that itís in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.

For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.

We are surrounded by the symptoms of the decay JFK warned us about. The common rallying cry of concerned citizens who had grieved the Kennedy Assassination was, "where were you when Kennedy was shot?" That emotional connection has been repealed and replaced by the rallying cry, "where were you on September 11, 2001 when the twin towers fell?"

Tragically, both Democrats and Republicans (aside from the radicals who are not likewise obsessed) have turned 911 into the impetus for perpetual war against enemies, real and imagined, and policy is inappropriately influenced by an echo chamber of deception and mischaracterization which routinely alters truth.

The challenges we face today consequently demand radical reform.

Perhaps we could afford a Coolidge following Harding. And perhaps we could afford a Pierce following Fillmore. But after Trump this nation needs a Franklin Roosevelt Democrat, and her name is Elizabeth Warren.
