Did Durbin make you cry?

American Idol's resident rocker made the live audience cry.

He became emotional at the pre-show taping rehearsal performance of "Without You" and the tears were contained until the very end of the live performance.

Before getting on stage to perform, Durbin went and hugged four family members who were sitting in the audience and his vibe was very serious and somber, completely different from his usual excited, showman self.

When he finished his performance, Durbin broke down crying...

At this stage of the game, the tears are sweet. All of the remaining artists are stars in their own right and they have nothing left to prove.

The rest of the competition is all about the "gravy-train" prize, and the smart money says that Durbin is going to win it by making us all laugh, in the end.
