It is not possible to understand the foregoing, without the following background knowledge;
"Specific loss of insight: Psychopaths have an extraordinarily distorted sense of insight. They have absolutely no capacity to see themselves as others see them. They are prone to extreme amounts of projection when it comes to blame. They will deny facts that would usually provide them with the insight needed to adequately assign blame. Psychopaths rationalize and blame all of their trouble on everyone else but themselves."
Consequently, for 6 hours, on January 6, 2021, Trump joyfully watched violence unfold at the Capitol in Washington without accepting any blame for the absolute chaos he and his enablers had carefully scripted. Aides who were not co-conspirators pleaded with him to do something about it but he refused because everything was unfolding as he wanted it to and he enjoyed it all very much like a General on the battlefield.
In particular, Trump was pleased because mob violence delayed the certification of the electoral college and that was the plan. Roger Stone had told Donald Trump to declare martial law if he lost the election and it would not be possible to do that after the certification of the electoral college. Consequently, on the orders of Trump and his enablers, the Capitol was stormed to thwart the legally sanctioned confirmation of the Biden election.
Fortunately, the failure to kill the process through the assassinations of Nancy Pelosi, Mike Pence and others, removed the chaotic environment that would have made martial law a more viable option and the stage for the peaceful transfer of power was triggered, not by the Trump regime, but by those who had resisted the insurrection. Consequently, to Trump's consternation, mob violence merely delayed, it did not successfully deny the certification of the electoral college, as planned.
It is no secret that Trump incited the violent mob to invade the Capitol because he wanted to reverse the effect of losing the election to Biden through a Martial Law Declaration. With Roger Stone and the Pillow Guy on the same page in that regard, the lunacy of the plots Trump engaged speaks for itself.
The path of the obsession to derail the certification of the election was very clear and obvious to all.
It is therefore no surprise that Trump did not merely incite the violent mob by telling it to march to the Capitol, he relished the opportunity and watched it unfold on television despite pleas from the desperate Congress that was attacked while he essentially stood down every defensive measure available to the most powerful person in the world -the President of the United States.
Calls to stop the coup did not phase Trump because he in fact lead the coup.
The Washington Post spoke to 15 people with knowledge of Trump's actions during 6 hours of violent rioting that caused death and not once did he heed the desperate calls of a Congress and a Vice President whose lives were placed in jeopardy by the violence Trump and his enablers incited
The insurrection was planned, encouraged and executed by the Trump Regime, and by definition, this violent effort to overturn the result of the election was undeniably domestic terrorism.
And despite the fact that he is no longer in office, Trump will continue to target and to terrorize, because he is an unrepentant, unindicted, serial criminal.
Next: Time to enter the age of accountability.
